In this CMAR project, IQ Contracting priced the substantial cast‑in‑place retaining walls directly to Faulconer Construction Company (FCC), who carried the scope in their bid to Clancy & Theys Construction. Working as a second‑tier subcontractor was an ideal fit given the extensive site grading, limited access, and equipment‑movement challenges. FCC maintained access throughout significant weather impacts, allowing IQ Contracting to place concrete ahead of schedule and carry momentum through completion. CLH Landscape Architecture had specific objectives in the wall appearance. The walls were up to 23’ tall, had radiuses, and were expected to have a uniform tie pattern and consistent color and finish for a stain to be applied by another contractor before final completion.
