IQ’s Commitment to Community and Industry
At IQ, our mission extends beyond the work we deliver. We believe that strong communities and strong industries are built through connection, support, and long-term investment in people. That’s why IQ proudly champions a variety of educational, professional development, and charitable initiatives that align with our core values and the communities we serve.
Supporting Education & the Future Workforce
Education is the foundation of growth—both in our industry and in our communities. IQ actively supports programs and institutions that prepare future professionals for success, particularly in construction, engineering, and related technical fields.
One example of this commitment is our support for The American Concrete Institute (ACI) through participation in its Technician Training and Certification Programs and Student Competitions. These initiatives help ensure a highly skilled workforce by offering hands-on training and nationally recognized certifications that set professionals up for lifelong success.
At NC State University, IQ contributes to several important initiatives within the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering programs. These include sponsorship and participation in the Paul Zia Memorial Lecture, the Annual Golf Tournament, and the Construction Engineering Graduation Hard Hat Ceremony. Each of these events supports students, celebrates academic achievement, and bridges the gap between education and real-world application.
Through these engagements, IQ helps create opportunities for students while strengthening the future of the construction and engineering fields.
Giving Back to Local Communities
IQ’s commitment to giving extends well beyond academic and professional environments. We actively support several charitable organizations that improve quality of life and offer critical resources to individuals and families in our region.
We are proud supporters of the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina, which works tirelessly to fight hunger and provide essential nutrition to communities in need. In addition, IQ contributes to healthcare-focused organizations such as the Wake Med Foundation and the Foundation of First Health, both of which play important roles in improving access to medical services and supporting patient care initiatives.
For our youngest community members, IQ supports the Wee Care Children’s Enrichment Program, which provides a nurturing environment and early educational opportunities for children. These early investments play a crucial role in shaping healthy, successful futures.
